Whether you are importing to or exporting from Australia, our in-house licensed customs brokers ensure compliance with relevant legislation to ensure a clear path through Australian Border Force (ABF) and The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF). Our knowledge and understanding of the import and export process for all types of water vessels will streamline the movement of your shipment and enable prompt ​​receival of your consignment.

We liaise directly with suppliers and importers to obtain the required paperwork prior to the arrival of your vessel, and our customs brokers will ensure that all customs and biosecurity requirements are satisfied prior to the departure of your yacht. Seasonal measures for brown marmorated stink bug (BMSB) apply to motor vessels that berth at, load or tranship in target risk countries between 1 September and 30 April inclusive. Our in-depth knowledge of biosecurity requirements will ensure efficient and timely discharge, aiding delivery upon arrival.

We offer expert advice, service and guidance to private vessel owners entering or departing Australian waters for both Australian residents and international visitors. For Australian residents entering, our team will advise on the steps required to ensure compliance with the Australian Border Force by determining the correct valuation method to be used in order to correctly calculate the duty and GST payable on importation. For international visitors, our team will assist with applying for a Control Permit or lodging a temporary import under security for non-commercial use of pleasure craft, motor sailors and motor cruisers entering Australian waters. For vessels departing, Australian Border Force export clearance is required. To avoid unnecessary delay, our team is able to assist with prompt lodgement of export declarations and other requirements which need to be satisfied on departure.

All vessels entering Australian territory from outside of Australia, including private non-commercial vessels (yachts), private superyachts, and cruises, are subject to Australian biosecurity control. To help prepare your vessel for arrival and the biosecurity inspection, our team will assist in having the required paperwork in order to complete the clearance process.
